A: FEES (All fees are to made payable to “American
Legion Post 490, Inc.”)
1) Deposit :
It is required at the time of contract signing. The deposit will be returned to Renter
within three (3) days after the scheduled event date, providing there is no damage or loss to Post property and violation of the Rules and Regulations. In the event of cancellation of Hall Rental, the deposit will be forfeited to Post unless the Hall Coordinator is officially notified seven days after the signing of the contract. Checks will be deposited. Circle One: Hold (or) Mail Deposit after event.

2) Hall Rental Fee:
The Contract Fee is due seven (7) days prior to the scheduled event. Hall rental includes tables, chairs, clean up, and air conditioning. Renter’s Initials ________Fee Amount: $ 600.00

The Kitchen can be used for staging of food
only. No food preparation is permitted. The kitchen must be left clean and all food,
garbage and trash from kitchen must be removed to outside dumpster before

If Renter wants to carry a bar tab, this must be paid up-front to the Post before the function begins. There is no beer, soda, or setups allowed to be brought into the Hall by the Renter or any of their guests. The only alcohol allowed is “BYOB”. Renter’s Initials ___________
C: HALL RULES & REGULATIONS
Rules and
Regulations:
1) The Renter and their guests will not bring in any beer, wine, soda, or set-ups at any time during the Hall Rental period. During the meal only, fruit punch, ice tea, or kool aide is allowed. Margarita machines or champagne fountains are only allowed during the meal and ceremony. After the meal, these aforementioned drinks must be removed from Hall. Initials _____

5) Guests must park in designated parking area on the south side of the building only. Initials ___________
6) The use of tacks, nails, or staples to affix function decorations is prohibited. Initials ___________
7) The Renter is responsible for taking down all their decorations and removing along with balloons or floating objects. Initials ___________
8) No bird seed, rice, or confetti can be thrown inside the Hall.

9) The Renter is responsible for the behavior of their guests.

10) No one will be allowed inside the Private Club area unless they are a member of Post 490 or a guest of a Post member. Initials ___________
11) The Post has the right to refuse service to anyone. Any person acting in a rude or disorderly manner will be asked to leave the Property.

12) The Renter may not block any of the three (3) Fire Exits with tables, chairs, or decorations. This is a strict Houston Fire Code Regulation.

13) Anyone purchasing or consuming alcoholic beverages on the Post Property must be twenty-one (21) years of age and have a valid State driver’s license or State ID. Initials ___________
14) The renter, band members, or guests will not tamper with our electrical systems, breakers, or electrical outlets. Initials ___________
15) Post Security will control noise volume. The maximum allowable noise level is ninety (90) decibels. The Security Officers have a sound level meter and will strictly enforce this rule. Initials ___________
16) Post will not be held responsible for items left in the Hall following the event. Initials ___________
17) The Post will not be responsible for accidents, personal injuries, or damages to automobiles in the parking lot. Initials ___________
18) Use of grills, barbecue pits, etc. is not authorized on Post property without the express approval of the Post. Initials ___________
19) Parking area must be left free of cans, bottles and debris.

Any violation or non-support of these rules by the Renter will indicate breach of contract and Renter will forfeit deposit and be asked to leave the Post Property. I have read and understand and agree to all the rule and regulations stated in this contract.
